William Kurek: (Part- Owner)
Hello, my name is Bill. My wife Victoria and I started Golden Paws in 2012 by revamping a large old chicken coop building that had previously been turned into a motorcycle repair shop. This journey has been one of the most difficult and rewarding undertakings of my life. The amount of customers that have been with us through the years is so rewarding. People who put their trust in you to take care of their pets is incredibly humbling. Many of our customers have started out as customers and turned into friends. I don’t think I could ever describe or show enough appreciation for the customers and people who have come into our life and helped us to the point where we are now. We would never be where we are today without having so many great people support us. From the volunteers, to our employees, to our customers, thank you so much for everything you have done for us! I really enjoy getting to know new people and meeting new dogs all the time. You end up really loving other people’s dogs like they are your own pets! It’s a privilege to get to know our employees and become more involved in their lives, too.
Hello, my name is Marissa Paluch and I have worked for Golden Paws for almost two years now! I am a huge animal lover and I always have been, my family likes to call me “Snow White” because I have a special bond with all animals, especially dogs! I absolutely love this job and everything that comes with it! I adore each dog that comes and goes. My favorite part about my job is that you really bond with the dogs and you care for them like they are your own! I can honestly say I deeply care about every dog that either comes for boarding or for daycare! This job holds a special place in my heart and I’m grateful to work for this company!
Hello, my name is Tori. I truly can say that I love my job. Every day that I go to work, my heart is filled with joy and love. I can tell you that I honestly love all of the dogs that come to this kennel. When I am having a tough day, the dogs know just how to cheer me up! All I need are kisses and hugs from the dogs, and I leave work feeling a hundred times better!
My name is Tori Berkhoudt and I currently work at Golden Paws Pet Care Services: Pet Hotel and Daycare. My opportunities here are truly limitless, and have grown more and more over the years. I met the Kureks about 5 years ago through a family friend who used to board her horses there, and Vicki and I bonded over vegan food recipes. From that moment on I knew that this was the place for me. I have built such amazing relationships with my coworkers, cherish my work environment every day and also established communication skills. My coworkers truly act as my family, similar to a small community that one can always rely on. The setting in which I work involves a large amount of quick thinking, enthusiasm, dedication, and vigilance. Personally, working with and caring for a variety of pets has been the best decision I’ve made. Consequently, this job has inspired my curious and ambitious self to pursue a life long career looking after the safety, health, and conservation of animals. Because of this job I have not only experienced employment, but I have accomplished learning more about animal behavior, social interactions, and training techniques. Alongside working for Golden Paws, I have also advanced my communication skills and customer service proficiency. Golden Paws Pet Care Services has honestly been one of the most incredible opportunities I have ever had.
Hi, I'm Louise Mathieu, an exchange student. I come from Belgium and I've been in the United States for a few months now. Working with Golden Paws is one of the greatest experiences I have had during my exchange year. I learn a lot here and I also enjoy every moment with the dogs. What I enjoy most is probably getting to know each dog and having the pleasure of seeing them again the following days. My love of animals pushes me to improve more on the services I can provide them. Working with dogs makes each day different, of course it requires a lot of attention, but it's such a delight to put your energy into a job you like. Besides spending time with dogs, it's even more rewarding to see a company that constantly improves the quality of services and its employees welfare. I feel a part of the company and like I am involved in it. Golden Paws makes me grow. It definitely takes a role in what makes my experience in the United States so special.
